#137  GREASEWOOD GUS – Victor Clyde Forsythe.  Born in 1885 and
died in 1962, lived in California most his life.  Studied at the Los
Angeles School of Art and Design.  Worked in New York as a comic
strip illustrator under the name of “Vic”.  On his return to California
he produced a large volume of paintings of the desert, mining
camps as they had been, the prospectors and ghost towns. 
Painting is oil on board, excellent condition.
