#115 THE CAPTURE – Wilhem Nerenz was born in Berlin, Germany in 1804 and died there in 1871. Much of his career he was employed as a restorer of paintings at the Royal Museum of Berlin. He established himself as a painter of historic subjects and people as depicted in this oil of soldiers and towns’ people. Excellent condition, mounted canvas, signed lower right.
