#113 CENTRAL PARK – Helen Bruton was born in Alameda, CA in 1898 and died in Monterey, CA in 1985. She attended the University of California at Berkeley. She was one of three sisters that were all artists. She is best known for her mosaic work and was commissioned by the state of California to produce several mosaic murals.
